Neo Williamstown

It is not often you get to do an infill house in a heritage area. Williamstown on the bay in Melbourne presented this opportunity. 

We were engaged by fantastic clients that knew their brief and were aiming for generational family living. Materials were selected to work into the local heritage while using more stable products such as James Hardie Linea products to allow the house to keep the weather at bay. 
We wished to present gabled forms to match in with Californian Bungalow neighbours, but through glazing and other details give it a contemporary seaside feel. The house blended well with the local Architecutre. 

Inside we utilised light wherever possible. Stairs were used as a lightwell. Skylights were abundant to help bring the outside in. Yahnay worked her magic on the interior finishes. Tiling feels natural and real stone to give a prestige. 

In all a very relaxing house which works with local Architecture and design to achieve a result the family are very happy with.
